Ontario Telemedicine Network Using Response Manager

Ontario Telemedicine Network, one of the largest health networks of its kind in the world, has chosen emailtopia’s Response Manager to enhance the organization’s email response system. OTN is an organization that uses two-way video conferencing technology to provide clinical care, distance health education, and remote meeting services to the health care community of Ontario. Nearly 3,000 health care professionals at more than 925 sites across the province use OTN to deliver care to their patients.

emailtopia’s Response Manager is used primarily by the OTN scheduling team. When scheduling requests come in via email, OTN agents need to respond quickly. The scheduling team’s email response process is supported by the use of two key Response Manager functions: load balance auto message assignment, and group mailbox message alerts. Load balancing is a message distribution method that automatically assigns emails to the team members with the least number of messages currently assigned, in order to even out the email work-load. Group mailbox alerts are system messages that Response Manager automatically sends to group mailbox administrators when a specified undesirable event occurs, such as when an email has not been responded to within the maximum allowable time. These two functions help make rapid email response easier to manage for OTN.
